3.5 How long do we store your data?

We store personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the individual purposes for which the data were collected.

Data we store during your visit to our website are retained for twelve months. An exception applies to analytics and tracking data, which can be stored longer.

Contract data is stored longer as we are legally obliged to do so. We must, in particular, retain business communications, concluded contracts, and booking receipts for up to 10 years. As long as we no longer need such data for the performance of the services, the data are blocked and we use them only for accounting and tax purposes.

3.6 How do we protect your data?

We will keep your data secure and take all reasonable measures to protect your data from loss, access, misuse, or alteration.

Our contractors and employees who have access to your data are obliged to comply with data protection regulations. In some cases, it will be necessary to pass on your inquiries to affiliated companies. Even in these cases, your data will be treated confidentially.

a. Right of access

The processing of your request is subject to the legal processing period of 30 days. However, we may extend this period due to high volumes of requests, for legal or technical reasons, or because we need further information from you. You will be informed about the extension of the period in a timely manner, at least in text form.

b. Deletion and correction

You always have the option to request the deletion or correction of your data. We may reject the request if legal provisions oblige us to longer or unchanged retention, or if a permitting circumstance opposes your request.

Please note that the exercise of your rights may conflict with contractual agreements and may have corresponding effects on the contract execution (e.g., early contract termination or cost consequences).

4. Individual data processing operations

4.1 Providing the website and creation of log files

What information do we receive and how do we use it?

By visiting https://homely.swiss, certain data are automatically stored on our servers or on servers of services and products we procure and/or have installed for purposes of system administration, for statistical or security purposes, or for tracking purposes. This includes:

  • the name of your Internet service provider;
  • Your IP address (if applicable);
  • the version of your browser software;

Why are we allowed to process this data?

This data cannot be assigned to a specific person and there is no merging of this data with other data sources. The storage of log files is necessary to ensure the functionality of the website and to guarantee the security of our information technology systems. Herein lies our legitimate interest.

How can you prevent data collection?

The data is stored only as long as it is necessary to achieve the purpose of their collection. Accordingly, the data are deleted after each session ends. The storage of log files is absolutely necessary for the operation of the website, and therefore you have no possibility to object to it.

4.2 Meta Ads

Our website uses Meta Ads, an online advertising service of Meta Platforms, Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA (formerly known as Facebook, Inc.). With Meta Ads, we can place targeted advertisements to make users aware of our products or services.

When you visit our website, a cookie may be set on your device by Meta Ads, which enables an analysis of your use of the website. Moreover, Meta can track your usage behavior across various websites and devices and on this basis, place personalized advertising.

The data collected by the cookie are transmitted to Meta and stored there. This data can be linked by Meta with your Meta account (formerly Facebook account) and used for its own advertising purposes.

4.3 Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”), on our website. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and that enable an analysis of your use of the website.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a server of Google in the USA and stored there. In the case of activating IP anonymization on this website, however, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a server of Google in the USA and shortened there.

The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other data from Google.

4.4 Google Tag Manager

To manage website tags via an interface, we use the Google Tag Manager, a service provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”). The Google Tag Manager itself (which implements the tags) is a cookie-less domain and does not process any personal data. The service ensures the triggering of other tags, which in turn may collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If a deactivation has been made at the domain or cookie level, it remains in place for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager.

By using the Google Tag Manager, automated scripts (so-called tags) can be activated on our website, and data from your browser can be transmitted to Google. These data can include information about your IP address, the browser you use, the subpages of our website you visit, and other interactions during your website visit.

4.5 Cart Functionality
